The prevention and aftercare program addresses families deemed at risk through provision of parenting education, community resource navigation, outreach, case management, and concrete support in financial assistance in applicable cases. The mission of the program is to reduce incidence of child abuse through such services.

The objectives of these services include:
1) Prevention of maltreatment before it occurs;
2) Prevention of child abuse/neglect among families at risk through the provision of supportive family services; and
3) Increased child safety within the home and preservation of families in which children have been maltreated, when the family’s problems can be effectively addressed.
