What is Family Enrichment Community Program?

The Family Enrichment Community Program (FECP) is a volunteer-led program whose purpose is to enrich parent and child interaction.

Community Enrichment Groups are led by community leaders, with prior experience in the Center Based Enrichment program. They take place in various community locations such as partner community organizations, parks, churches, and recreation centers. Facilitated by Parent Facilitators and supported by All For Kids Program Specialists.

Parent Facilitators undergo a three-month core training covering:

  • Age-Appropriate Activities
  • Child Development
  • CPR/First Aid Training
  • Developmental Milestones
  • Developmental Screenings
  • Lesson Planning
  • Leadership Classes
  • Protective Factors
  • Resources available to families with Special Needs

Additionally, Parent Facilitators also attend ongoing monthly workshops and support meetings. FECP Groups meet once a week for the duration of two hours. Each group is composed of children ages zero to five.
