Laura comes to All For Kids with over 20 years of experience in the social and human development field. Laura has a passion for working with children of all ages. She began her career as a Children’s Services Director at New Horizons, overseeing their preschool, after school, and early start programs. She also worked as a Master Teacher overseeing a team of preschool teachers. In 2010, Laura joined Wayfinder Family Services where she served as their Early Intervention Services Director, overseeing their Statewide Early intervention program. In 2013, Laura led Wayfinder’s Pilot Study that investigated the use of iPad applications to improve the activation, attention span and physical-interaction skills of children with vision loss and multiple disabilities. Laura has presented her findings on her work with the iPad as well as high risk infants at various professional conferences and webinars, many of which attracted participants from other nations and has been published in the Journal of Visual Impairment and Blindness. Laura holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development with a specialization in Early Childhood Education and an Master’s Degree in Human Development with a specialization in Leadership in Education and Human Services with a sub-specialization in Administration and Supervision.
