Vice President of Integrated Family Services
Leslie C. Oropeza brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the social services field, with a strong focus on foster care, adoptions, community partnerships, and strategic program development. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counseling from California State University, Los Angeles. Throughout her career, Leslie has remained deeply committed to serving marginalized populations and supporting children and families through compassionate, culturally responsive, and outcome-driven services.
Leslie began her career at Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles, where she managed emergency shelter operations and served as the primary Spanish-speaking case manager, supporting the Hispanic community and coordinating critical services. This foundational experience led her to foster care in 2003, where she quickly advanced from Social Worker to Supervisor, demonstrating a strong ability to lead teams, strengthen staff development, and improve service delivery. Leslie also played a key role in developing Spanish-language trainings to support compliance and reduce system involvement risks for families and staff.
Currently, Leslie serves as the Senior Director of Contract Delivery, where she oversees comprehensive program operations and leads initiatives that enhance outcomes for children and families. Her leadership has been instrumental in building strong partnerships with DCFS and Community Care Licensing, resulting in successful audits and sustained program excellence. Leslie is known for fostering collaborative relationships, and maintaining a strong commitment to integrity, accountability, and continuous growth. She takes pride in empowering staff, strengthening communities, and advancing meaningful, lasting impact within the field of social services.
